Get Ready for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!

28th September 2016

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, giving people the chance to catch up over a cuppa and raise money for charity.

Last year, it raised £25 million to support Macmillan’s life-changing work to support people facing cancer.

This year’s Coffee Morning is on Friday 30th September. If you’re hosting your own event at home, work or school, there’s still a few days to get yourself ready.

At Salford Shopping Centre, we’ve got everything you need in store to make raising money a piece of cake!

Bake Some Biscuits

Why not serve up delicious cookies straight from your oven at your Coffee Morning? They’ll fill the house with an incredible smell, perfect for welcoming in your guests!

If you don’t have the time (or the culinary skills) to whip up a few batches of cookie dough first thing in the morning, don’t worry – Iceland have got it covered with Millie’s Cookies Ready to Bake Cookie Dough. These incredible frozen doughs come in three chocolatey flavours, and are currently on offer at Iceland for £2.50 each.

Put on a show

Make your tasty treats all the more inviting with stunning presentation – the secret to every showstopper! Home Bargains has a great range of decorative accessories that can add a finishing flourish to your homemade creations.

From practical and pretty paper plates to adorable vintage-style cupcake wraps and toppers – perfect if your Coffee Morning has a retro theme – you’re sure to impress your guests and get them digging deep to support Macmillan.

Don’t forget, you can buy official Coffee Morning decorations and accessories on Macmillan website.

Cakes for a Cause

Whatever you bring to your Coffee Morning, remember that it’s all for a fantastic cause. There are 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, and Macmillan wants no one to face it alone. They provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support for people experiencing cancer and their loved ones.

Just £28 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, making a huge difference to one person and their family.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday! Visit Salford Shopping Centre to get all your essentials before the big day.
