Shoppers Get Crafty at Salford Shopping Centre

2nd May 2015

From sweet treats to eggscellent gadgets, Salford Shopping Centre was the one-stop-shop for Easter goodies this year. And with plenty of in-store promotions and giveaways to help feather the nest, the centre ensured that Salford residents had a spring in their step over the Easter holidays.

What’s more, the shopping centre also hosted its own shell-shockingly good two day craft event on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th April, giving children over the age of three the opportunity to create some eggsceptional goodies. Participation was free and took place in a designated area of the mall. The workshop was choc-a-block with fun and saw a variety of crafts being made including egg cups, baskets, bonnets, crowns and more! Once complete, the cracking creations could be taken home.

“We bought our 2 Grandchildren and both really enjoyed it!”

Kidscan, Salford Shopping Centre’s nominated charity for 2015, was also in attendance raising awareness and collecting donations. A grand total of £457.59 was raised for the charity on the day.

“We are very pleased to be working with Salford Shopping Centre and to be their charity of the year. Our partnership with Salford Shopping Centre is vital and we could not keep the service going without support like this. All funds raised via the centre will be contribute greatly to helping more Children and to fund research into drug treatments and support programmes.”

“We were delighted to be able to offer shoppers a wealth of entertainment and activity for the Easter period. It was great to see so many children utilising their artistic skills and producing some inspired creations during our free workshop. We look forward to hosting similar events throughout the rest of 2015.”
